Answers to questions about Arctic

When does reproduction occur?
Reproduction occurs mostly during the summer time and the beginning of fall. Because that is when
the small animals have the best chance for survival. If they reproduce during the winter the little animals are most likely to die because of the lack of food and the cold climate and harsh winds.

What adaptations did the animals make?
The animals that live in the cold climates have different adaptations that others. For example the penguins that stay in the harsh climates all winter have a lot of blubber. The seals that go deep sea diving are much fatter in order to sink faster. Another adaptation that seals make is dish catching, most seals are two slow to catch krill so they catch fish.
